// March 9th, 2010 // No Comments » // Uncategorized // by Justin Eeles

Lauri Heiskari and Simon Chamberlain showed up last week to meet up with Shaun Mckay and I in Whistler. After a serious city to city filming schedule they were stoked to ride some mountains.

The other day Photographer Mike Yoshida and I decided to take a media Pow lap during lunch. Mike started it off with a Blind launch to flat and i finished it off with a unplanned Crevasse drop to uphill landing. We decided to stay behind the lens’s the rest of the day. Check out http://mikeyoshida.blogspot.com/ for the video clip of Mike’s ollie. Good stuff.

Teeth to the lip. could have been way worse. Ouch!

Peep the latest from the last rail mission of the season.

Vahalla Burger. Those that know, know what I’m talking about when I say 300g. Simon and Joe handling biz. Both also anted up to a game of cheers at this spot.

MAX Burger. Some dare say the In-n-Out of Sweden. We tooled it up daily…sometimes more than once. Simon representing.

Look at the perfect timing of everyones faces while chewing. Synchronized fast food consumption? Sounds like a new event for the summer olympics.

Hooked up with my boy Reemo Man at MAX. The terrorist and Simon tooling up some burgers.

This is where we rented a generator at. Full rave equipment headquarters. Free tab of x with every week long rental.

Teas Nutz!

The frog goes slow.

When you hang out with someone who watches the NBA as religiously as Simon and is LeBron’s biggest fan, this is how you start celebrating getting a shot.

Hawaii in March?

// March 4th, 2010 // 1 Comment » // Uncategorized // by Seth Huot

Guess what happens when you go to Hawaii for a week in the middle of the snowboard season? You get ZERO clips…

Volcom brought me and a few other team riders over to the Pipe house on the the North Shore of Oahu for five days to shoot a Daily Habit for Fuel TV that will be  featured on Volcom week.
-Highlights

Get on an airplane headed straight to where an alleged Tsunami was going to hit a couple hours before I arrive..

Surfed Pipe..only head high but I’m horrible at surfing…got a wave but also went over and felt reef..Beast

Stayed in the Infamous Gerry Lopez Volcom Pipe House..

Had an amazing chill little dinner at “The Enforcer’s” house (Kai Borg).

Volcom pretty much “owns it” on the North Shore… actually they do own it… so when you go there with them you are instantly in.   I had a Sedat with some cool ass Makaha Locals while watchin dudes get “shacked” on the westside.

Wiamea was hitting

Almost found myself swimming back to shore 10 miles off shore in the middle of the ocean on a deep sea fishing trip gone psycho… 10 to 12 foot seas on a little 20 foot boat. Got rock steadied to say the least.

Finished it off with a North Shore BBQ at Volcom pro surfer Gavin Beschen’s compound with some of his homies, good peeps.

Guess you could say I got the whole North Shore experience.. Worth it? after putting in 10 years on the freezer burnt grind.. Hell yes it was worth it, experience of a lifetime… Thanks V.CO and all at the Proving Grounds!

Layover?

// March 4th, 2010 // No Comments » // Uncategorized // by JP Walker

Anyone that has been to the CDG airport in Paris knows what a pile it is. I thought a 4 hour layover would be enough time to make a connection to Stockholm without any issues. Wrong. Cancelled flight with an 8 hour layover on deck I decided to go check out the Eiffel Tower.

It looks good from afar but up close the tower is lobbled.

A look from the second level.

You would think the Eiffel tower would be the most prominent object in this photo but I think the chin has it beat. Once again France has to fall back. USA still hurtin' fools.

Not a complete waste of a trip I peeped this beast of a double kink right across the river from the tower.

This famous skate spot isn't too far either. Glad to see at least some architecture in Paris I could really appreciate.

In all seriousness it was pretty sick to check out that rusty contraption. A kiss form Paris.

2 days in Tahoe

// March 3rd, 2010 // No Comments » // Uncategorized // by Sam Hiltner

Curtis, B. Fox, Trent Ludwig, Mark Welsh, Sally (Bryan’s lady) and I headed to tahoe for two days of sun and pow.  Here are a few photos from a classic tahoe spot.

5am wake up calls to beat the hot pow.
The build.
Bryan throws up the horns in approval.
Curtis blazed the way while the crew left a trail of hot tubs behind.
End of the day in hopes of getting a early start on the 9 hour drive back to bend I blew my belt going 80 on the trail. Guess it’s a bad idea to open up the sled on a 45 degree day.

POV Edit. First Day Back!

// March 3rd, 2010 // 1 Comment » // POV Video, Uncategorized, Video Randoms // by Shaun McKay

This was my first day back snowboarding after injuring my ankle nearly a month ago. Pretty fun first day back on the board! Now its time to head up to Canada and meet up with Eero, Mikey and crew!!

University Cafeteria? Why not.

// March 2nd, 2010 // No Comments » // Uncategorized // by Justin Eeles

So we have been hanging for a while in Squamish waiting it out for some good weather. We decided to change it up and go up to the local University to get dinner. Cheap, easy, maybe some students to talk to? Why not.

I guess it was spring break?
